CK SL2-25M Fit Check: Verify DINSE 25M Before You Order a TIG Connector

CK SL2-25M fit check starts with two separate questions: what DINSE size is on the machine, and what gas-cooled TIG torch family is on the cable. The SL2-25M is not a generic adapter for every DINSE-style TIG setup. CK Worldwide identifies it as a DINSE 25M gas-thru connector for specific gas-cooled torch families, and the 25M body size is different from CK’s corresponding DINSE 35M option.

Arc Weld currently lists the exact CK Worldwide SL2-25M Safe-Loc male DINSE 25M, 3/8-inch gas-thru connector as an active product. At the time of this article’s inventory check, the store showed three units available under SKU SL2-25M – 1 EACH. Inventory can change, so the live product page remains the final availability check.

What CK Worldwide says the SL2-25M fits

CK Worldwide’s DINSE 25M gas-cooled connector chart identifies the 25M connector size as 3/8 inch (9.5 mm). Within that family, order number SL2-25M is listed for CK9, CK17, CK130, CK150, FL130, FL150, and MR70 gas-cooled torch families.

That torch list matters. CK uses other order numbers for other gas-cooled torches even when the machine-side DINSE size is still 25M. For example, CK’s chart assigns SL2-25M-24 to CK24/80/90/100 families, SL5-25M to MT100/CKC150/CK210/TL210/CKA16, and SL8-25M to CK26/TL26.

DINSE 25M and DINSE 35M are not the same connector size

CK’s catalog separates DINSE 25 and DINSE 35 gas-thru adapters. The size reference in CK’s documentation is 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) for DINSE 25 and 1/2 inch (12.8 mm) for DINSE 35. If the power source uses the larger DINSE 35M connection, the matching SL2-family order number for the same CK9/17/130/150/FL130/FL150/MR70 torch group is SL2-35M, not SL2-25M.

This is why “my welder has a DINSE connector” is not enough information to order from. DINSE describes a connector family. The actual size and whether the machine uses a gas-thru arrangement still have to be verified.

The three checks to make before ordering SL2-25M

1. Identify the machine-side DINSE size

Check the welding machine manual, connector markings, or manufacturer parts documentation. Do not estimate DINSE 25M versus 35M from a photo when the manufacturer gives the connector specification. A visual estimate can be misleading, especially when protective boots and adapter housings cover the body.

2. Confirm the torch is in CK’s SL2-25M torch group

For the exact SL2-25M, CK lists CK9, CK17, CK130, CK150, FL130, FL150, and MR70. If the torch is CK24, CK26, a water-cooled model, or another family, stop and use CK’s chart to select the corresponding connector rather than forcing the closest-looking part.

3. Confirm the machine uses the gas-thru DINSE arrangement

CK describes these adapters as gas-thru DINSE connectors that connect TIG torches to welding machines based on machine functionality and torch choice. That is different from a setup where shielding gas is routed through a separate external fitting. Verify the actual gas path before buying the connector.

Gas-cooled and water-cooled connector families are different

The SL2-25M belongs to CK’s gas-cooled connector table. CK’s water-cooled 25M connector chart uses SLWHAT-25M for its listed water-cooled torches. Water-cooled setups add water supply and return plumbing, so matching only the DINSE diameter is not enough.

If you are replacing a connector after a torch or power-cable change, identify the whole system: machine connector, torch model, gas routing, cooling method, and cable/connector family. A correct connector should be the result of those checks, not the starting assumption.

Where to buy the exact CK SL2-25M

Arc Weld’s current listing is CK Worldwide Safe-Loc Male DINSE 25M (3/8-inch Gas-Thru) connector. Verify the live SKU, product image, and inventory before checkout. If your machine is DINSE 35M or your torch is outside the CK9/17/130/150/FL130/FL150/MR70 group, use the CK chart before ordering a different connector.

A fast fit-check worksheet

  • Machine make/model: record it exactly.
  • Machine connector: DINSE 25M, DINSE 35M, or another connection—verify from documentation.
  • Gas path: gas-thru DINSE or separate gas connection.
  • Torch model/family: CK9, CK17, CK130, CK150, FL130, FL150, MR70, or another family.
  • Cooling: gas-cooled or water-cooled.
  • Existing connector order number: record it if legible before discarding the old part.
  • Final selection: cross-check all five items against the current CK Worldwide connector chart.
